Hello!
So at Monday's meeting we talked about some ways to improve your writing quantity and quality by putting some work out online. A good tool for this is, believe it or not, Twitter! Twitter has multiple hashtags that you can put at the end of a tweet and your post will show up with a bunch of other tweets. Some hashtags you could use are:
#amwriting
#writerslife
#WriteWednesday or #onelineWednesday
#WriteTip
#Wordcount
#Fridayreads
#writingPrompt
#askagent

*This is just a rough list of hashtags you could use, there are thousands of hashtags out in the world.*

Another useful tip we talked about was using a grid. If your writing a long term project( I.E a novel, book, etc.) create a grid with the word count. Books don't depend on the page number, it's all about word count. So, with that in mind, create a grid with the word count, the chapters with the least amount of words could use some expanding on. I know I'm certainly going to try that!

Now for the fun part...on Monday we used a fun prompt(below) and it was really kinda cool the ways people went with it.
Along with that, we assigned a prompt for next weeks meeting as well!
We hope to see you next week!

Hey all!

So today marks the third meeting of Young Writers of Addison County. It was such a blast and we are so glad that so many people showed up. Today we worked on a prompt which was given out at the last meeting, we chatted briefly about a month of writing coming up, and we also shared our writing.

Next Week's Prompt:
We look forward to seeing you next week!
